There has been much investment & regeneration in this area, including riverfront development, shopping, travel & leisure facilities. The North Greenwich extension to the Jubilee line is fully operational with a station near the dome & the Docklands Light Railway runs from the town centre.

On the eastern boundary of the borough, Lee is a residential suburb with a wide range of housing from Edwardian and Victorian villas to modern town houses.

The main commercial centre of the borough, Lewisham High Street has a modern shopping centre and an interesting market.

Is a residential suburb adjacent to Eltham, Chislehurst & Grove Park. It has a station linking it to London & a wealth of period & maodern property to suit every taste. It also has a local shopping area amongst its facilities.

A quiet residential area in the south east of the borough.

Eltham SE9
No one would imagine that busy little Eltham is full of history, one of London's most interesting villages, and that hidden behind the trees it still has the banqueting hall of an ancient Plantagenet palace. |

New Cross SE14
An area in the north of the borough of Lewisham, which is characterised by the main A2 road, in fact the Old Kent Road has been an important route since medieval times and still operates as the main road into London from Dover and the South East.
Situated within this district is the beautiful Telegraph Hill Conservation Area with a wealth of period properties, the park itself is a real gem, opened in 1895 the park has two parts. The section off Kitto Road has incredible panoramic views over central London.
Transport links are excellent from New Cross with rail, tube and bus routes into the Capital making New Cross a popular place to live.

Brockley SE4
An attractive area which is mainly residential Brockley has some stunning examples of Victorian buildings and a great concentration of period houses. The area has an atmosphere of faded elegance and offers some lovely parks.

Deptford SE8
At first the inner city landscape seems like any other, but Deptford is a lively area rich in history with a vibrant atmosphere. From the moody river scenes at the Deptford Foreshore to the well known market, Deptford is beginning to thrive again. There is a growing art community in the area.

Peckham and Nunhead SE15
North Peckham has seen a significant regeneration over the past decade. Grim tower blocks have been replaced by low level housing projects. Much has been achieved, although a few rough edges still remain. South Peckham has respectable streets of solid Victorian homes, the best of which can be found overlooking Peckham Rye Common and Park. Nunhead, Peckham's posher neighbour, boasts pleasant two and three bedroom Victorian and Edwardian terraces in leafy sloping streets.
